52 Ancestors Week 20- Sarah Carpenter

My 2nd great-grandmother was Sarah Lufama Carpenter. She was born September 30, 1868 in Beaver Township, Noble County, Ohio to Isaac Carpenter and Sarah A Brown. She was the youngest of 7 children. In her early life she lived in Noble County.
On 26 Feb 1895 she married Joseph Francis Carpenter in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temperenceville, Ohio. They moved back and forth between Noble and Belmont counties several times in their life. Together they had 11 children.
In 1920 she was widowed, leaving her with 5 children still at home. As she got older, she lived for a time with her children.
On February 15, 1958, at 89 years old, Sarah died in the Barnesville Hospital. According to her death certificate she died of senility. She was survived by 9 of her children, and they buried her in the Somerton Cemetery in Somerton, Ohio.
